Caldwell Esselstyn Jr MD of Cleveland Clinic has shown heart disease can be reversed 100% of the time, using a plant-based diet. Olive oil -- and ANY oil -- increases heart disease, the same way butter does. If you want to avoid heart disease and cancer, ditch all oils, which are in any case just highly processed (i.e., junk) food.

I gave up all 'vegetable' oils many years ago and have never looked back. Just the idea of getting oil out of a plant to cook with has always baffled me. However, not even coconut oil, now considered by many to be a super-food? Butter too? Old video, I guess. This confusion over saturated fats and 'vegetable' oils is galling, pun quite intended. I wonder what his opinion on salt is. Great find, Ab, as always.
