The question of scope and scale: "Are they ALL in on it?" If they weren't in on it, then they would be calling it out as fake. E.g. The collaboration of the Kennedy tribe and supporters with the "lone nuts / magic bullet" narrative. Once again we encounter Sherlock Holmes' "the dogs that don't bark".

I’ve talked about this Baptist pastor Mike Stone before.
I very much approve of his recent work.
His analysis on the fakery issue is spot on:

Many or most people don’t really CARE about the “truth”.
The word itself has become an abstraction.
And they choose NOT to self-identify as intellectuals.
They have other priorities in their life, that they rank much more highly than scientific or historical truth.
The only ways they can be induced to care would be. ....

1) Their egos might be narcissistically offended by the insult to their intelligence, which provokes resentment and resistance.
2) Their ETHICS and sense of “right vs. wrong” would be so outraged, it would motivate them.
3) They could be convinced that confronting such problems of “truth” is not an abstract exercise, but rather absolutely essential and necessary for their survival and that of their families.
